If you want to feel more connected to the neighborhood, support local artists and small businesses, and have a real reason to be in la Misión every weekend — this is for you.
We're always looking for volunteers to help run game nights, tours, pop-ups, scavenger hunts, and community events across San Francisco's Mission District. No experience needed.
What volunteers do
Volunteers help run Mission Lotería events across the Mission District. Most shifts last 3–5 hours and fall into one of these roles:
Event setup & breakdown
Helping set up tables, decorations, and signage before events, and breaking it all down after. Physical-ish but social — most volunteers do this in pairs.

What you get
Volunteering with Mission Lotería isn't just unpaid work for the warm fuzzies — there are real perks.
Paid meals
Up to $20 for lunch, dinner, or snacks on any shift over 4 hours.
